From 1906-1984 Paragon Park was a beachside amusement park and Boston's version of Coney Island. For the past 30+ years since the park's closure, Hull has struggled to reestablish its identity while Nantasket Beach continues to be a popular destination. This block of mini-golf, food service, arcade, shops, and restaurants had grown tired and was in desperate need of new life.

Purchased in 2017 by a local investor, I was part of the team that helped reposition and relaunch this block as a family-oriented, surf-inspired, art-covered, craft-food-celebrating destination for the South Shore. I helped lead the conceptual development and prepared a "look book" to help town officials get comfortable with the new concept that would include bold artwork and a craft-beer hall to broaden the property's appeal.

Our creative approach and celebration of the property's powerful nostalgia unlocked an opportunity for renewal and redevelopment. The project received all requested permits, including a liquor license that applies to the whole property– including the Nantasket Country Club mini-golf course. Future phases include Paragon's own craft beer label, starting with "Giant Coaster IPA" in celebration of the former landmark Roller Coaster.
