About
Let it be said that I find it uncomfortable to self-promote, but here is my story:
I've always tried to help the ideas that I admire grow.
Whether using the acerbic lens of comedy to amuse and inform, using the history to inform the future of new projects, or TK. my baseline goal is always to make more people give a damn about important issues, stories and companies.
I feed on creativity, energy, and enthusiasm for new and different ideas.
I worked to help Grassroot Soccer spread the message of HIV prevention through soccer-based communication and education. I helped my family's company Lyme Properties 2, LLC save a historic building and design for smart growth. I even had a brief stint in the advertising where I (just barely) turned down a chance at W+K12 to go to business school instead.
I got my MBA from the entrepreneurship-focused Babson College, where I was elected class president, lead a campaign to get 99% of my classmates involved in the alumni fund, and was named the 2013 "Changemaker." My undergraduate degree is in environmental policy from Bates College, a school I credit for instilling in me a gumptious spirit by leading the Bates Fishing Club, captaining the hockey team, and restarting the satirical school newspaper.
I have a BA in Environmental Policy from Bates College where I wrote a thesis on hydroelectric dam relicensing as an opportunity for environmental and economic revitalization, and an MBA in Entrepreneurship from Babson College where I was the recipient of the Changemaker award from the Lewis Institute for Social Innovation. I serve as a Board Member of the Upper Valley Trails Alliance and Granite Outdoor Alliance.
I live in Vermont.
You've always tried to help the ideas you admire grow.
Whether through the acerbic lens of comedy, the history surrounding great buildings, or through creative writing, your baseline goal is always to make more people give a damn about important issues, stories and companies.
You believe in the power of saying no, and won't consult with companies unless you truly believe in their mission and really want to see them succeed.
On the advice of an advisor at Babson, you opted to stay independent and impactful instead of joining or starting a larger company or agency. You feed on creativity, energy, and enthusiasm for new and different ideas.
You're constantly learning new skills of the trade, but prefer to work with experts in their respective fields whenever possible. You hope that people interested in collaborating with you will contact you.
You've been lucky enough to work with a number of great people and companies over the years, and through that work you developed the experience and skill-set that led you to start your own company in hopes of making a broader impact.
